Remember what I said...?

Remember what I said on the last post...we are a busy family!

Malachi graduated from Pre-K. They got to wear little cap and gowns and receive little rolled up certificates. They also sang Lean on Me. It was really cute! He was so proud of himself. WE then had a cookout for Malachi in which we had many family members and friends, including Malachi's girlfriend Brooke. Malachi also finished up his baseball season. His skills have greatly improved and he had a good season. His baseball team even got to run on the field with our local minor league team the Hickory Crawdads. He had such a blast with that event. Now that school is over Malachi is home everyday with Pete. They go to movies, the mall, the Y pool, the park, etc. He has also been assisting Pete with his pastoral duties. Pete has been staying busy with the churches and Malachi. He watches Malachi everyday for me so that I can work. He had a birthday in June and tried to avoided it the best he could! We also celebrated Father's day in which he got to run the bases at the Hickory Crawdads game with Malachi! We also got to attend annual conference. Lake Junaluska is such a beautiful place and we look forward to going every year. He is staying busy with all the prep work for another year with these churches.Chrissy has been working so very hard. I now have a full time job as a Certified Nurses Assistant in a long term care facility. I work third shift. Along with this I still have my restaraunt hostessing job. So I now work at night from 1045 pm until 645 am. then come home and sleep a small nap. then head into East Coast Wings at 1045am until about 2 pm. Then I come home and sleep until I dinner and evening activities with the family.

As you can see our family stays on the go and is very busy! Please become a follower of the blog and try and keep up with everything we have going on in our busy life!

Busy Times!

We have been so busy lately with everything we have going on right now!

Malachi is going to school everyday, baseball practice twice a week and games in there as well, and preparing for Pre K graduation. Malachi had his first game this past weekend and he had 3 hits got out once and scored two runs. He also had an amazing defensive stop while playing shortstop.

Pete has been staying busy with everything going on at the churches. He has bible study every week, Burke Chapel had Homecoming this past weekend, and a Yard Sale this coming Saturday, and we are in preparation for the upcoming Annual Conference.

Chrissy works everyday at the restaraunt during the lunch time and even some evenings and weekends. She is also in the process of planning a graduation cookout for Malachi. She is also the Director of our churches Vacation Bible School which is coming up quickly.

I jsut can't get over the fact that Malachi will be graduating Pre K in just a few weeks. I feel like it was just yesterday when he was born. Time sure has gone by so quickly!

Mother's Day Weekend!

So Mother's Day has come and gone. On Saturday we went out and was able to get Malachi a used t-ball bat so that he can practice some more baseball at home. This little boy just eats and breaths baseball right now. It is all he talks about. For Mother's Day Malachi had made a few cards at school, made a frame which his teachers placed a picture of him in, the teachers took a hand towel and had Malachi put his hand prints all over it with paint, and Pete and Malachi gave me a card. I also got a Rose from Burke Chapel UMC. The best part about my gifts was the fact that Malachi actually wrote his own name in them. It might not be the easiest thing to read but it is the fact that he has learned so much this year and it just amazes me how big he is getting!

Spring Time

Everyday when we pick Malachi up from school the first words out of his mouth are, "do I get to play outside today?" He loves to play outside and we try to every day the weather allows us to.

Play Ball

Malachi has now begun to play basball for the YMCA we are members at. He is a part of a team which is called the Mets (no we do not like the name). They have practice every Tuesday at 530 and Saturday at noon. We should get his game schedule within the next few days. Malachi is learning so much and starting to get all the skills down. Pete is the assistant coach for his team and I am the Team Mom. The team has also been signed up for Friday June 24 to go to the Hickory Crawdads game and run out onto the field before the game with the actual players. he is so enthusiastic about playing baseball and he loves it.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. We had an amazing Good Friday service. Pete, his father, and I did our usual good friday service that we have done in past years. It was a great service. Sunday morning we got up early so that Malachi could see his easter basket before heading off to church. We had colored eggs and layed out carrots and water for the bunny the night before. Then we headed off to our sunrise service and breakfast at one of our churches. We then came home and malachi had the chance to search for his eggs which the bunny had hid in our living room. then we got to go to the Easter service at our second church. After the church services we loaded up adn headed towards Salisbury, NC to a reunion for the Hatley side of our family (Pete's Paternal grandmother's family). We had a good lunch and then headed to pete's parents house to hang out and then head back home.

Hickory Crawdads

This year for Malachi's birthday we signed him up for the kids claw club. Along with that he gets lots of special perks. He gets a free ticket to every home game, he gets chances to participate in pre game activities, he gets to chase the mascot across the field during the game, and run the bases after the games. One day he got to take the First Hit before the game. He took me last sunday to the Craw'moms' day where they honor the mothers. He has gotten up on top of the dugout during the game and did the chicken dance one game and the YMCA another game. He is so into baseball and loves playing with the other kids at the game. Everyone at the stadium now knows who we are and knows exactly who Malachi is.
